Exempt, Range 17 : $154,429 to $231,644 annual base salary

Report To: Chief Technology Officer


SUMMARY:

With the goal of enhancing lives, fulfilling dreams and building communities this position is responsible for assisting the Chief Technology Officer to ensure that business and technology initiatives are executed effectively, aligning with the credit union’s strategic goals. This role focuses on aligning business technology initiatives with organizational goals, driving cross-functional collaboration, and guiding transformational projects that enhance operational efficiency and member experience.

•Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to understand the credit union’s strategic objectives and translate them into actionable business technology initiatives, define priorities, and allocate resources effectively.

•Develops and executes strategies to optimize project management, process improvement, and application administration, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of strategies through key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, ensuring continuous improvement and strategic alignment.

•Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, providing insights and guidance on leveraging existing technology and applications to enhance efficiency and member experience.

•Leads, mentors, and inspires high-performing teams across project management, process improvement, and application administration.

•Develops and communicates a clear vision for business technology operations that aligns with organizational strategy and long-term goals.

•Provides strategic direction and oversees the day-to-day operations of the business solutions department.

•Champions a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across business and technology functions. Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives.

•Communicates departmental goals and overall company goals and initiatives; drives execution to achieve objectives.

•Oversee the enterprise project portfolio, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Establish best practices, governance, and methodologies for project and program management.

• Develops and maintains a resource allocation framework that aligns with strategic priorities and supports efficient project execution.

• Develops KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure project success and business impact.

• Develops strategies for improving or leveraging business systems (including removing and/or replacing ineffective systems) while remaining in line with the enterprise strategic goals.

•Oversees process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the member experience. Utilize data-driven insights to identify operational gaps and recommend scalable solutions.

•Drives enterprise innovation by guiding the design and implementation of application roadmaps and action plans to enhance operational efficiency, reduce redundancies, and streamline business processes.

•Oversees the administration, optimization, and support of enterprise applications critical to business operations. Partners with IT, vendors, and business units to ensure applications align with evolving business needs.

•Drives user adoption and change management strategies to maximize system utilization.

•Monitors and analyzes problems that occur, ensuring that problems are identified and solved as rapidly and efficiently as possible using established practices and methodologies.

•Drives a culture of innovation and accountability, fostering collaboration across departments and empowering teams to deliver high-impact results.

•Develops succession plans and professional development programs to build team capabilities.

•Keeps current with trends and issues in the technology and credit union industries, including current technologies and prices.

•Oversees and maintains business solutions department adherence to all BSA regulations and compliance standards, on internal and external policies (personally as well as the staff).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for assisting with the strategic direction, monitoring and evaluation of the business solutions department. Manages and supervises employees within the department. Carries out

leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

Contributes to the organization's mission statement and goals by providing the highest quality of service, treating each person professionally - with warmth, courtesy, and respect, and making a personal effort to make members feel they belong and are important to the credit union.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in computer science or business information systems; plus a minimum of twelve years’ experience in project management and/or Information Technology with proven skills in cross-functional leadership and enterprise-level strategy development; demonstrated experience working at the executive leadership level, with the ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in financial services or credit unions and familiarity with Symitar or other core banking systems preferred.


Experience leading organization Artificial Intelligence (AI) readiness strategy, championing the evaluation, ethical piloting, and scalable implementation of reasonable AI solutions. Experience driving operational efficiencies, evaluating member experiences, and achieve strategic objectives.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

PMP Certification preferred.


SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job and a high level of interpersonal skills are critical to the success of this position. Work frequently involves contacts requiring considerable discussion of problems, material presentations, and resolving issues impacting departments or divisions.


Ability to solve problems quickly and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
