Senior Quality Engineer

Job Description

  • Participate in investigations to eliminate causes of quality problems and verify effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Use statistical tools to analyze data, make acceptance decisions, identify trends, and improve process capability (Six Sigma, SPC, DOE)
  • Compile and analyze quality system metrics (e.g. management review, compliance metrics, quality assurance and quality control data etc.) to ensure key process indicators are identified, measured and action driven
  • Eliminate process variation and nonconformities through creative solutions
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including plans, procedures, and work instructions
  • Perform benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved
  • Utilize risk management tools and aids for use by the organization in accordance with documented procedures, including but not limited to FMECA, Fault Tree Analysis, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Training: 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline from an ABET accredited program required 
    • ASQ certification required
    • ISO 9001 or AS9100D certification required

Experience:

    • 5+ years of relevant experience required

Security:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Candidate must be in possession of a minimum DoD issued Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
  • Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
  • Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
  • Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time

Salary: $130,000 - 145,000
