Job Description
Position Summary
Plans, organizes and supervises Environmental Services activities. Enforces policies and procedures of the Environmental Services Department (EVS), trains, and coaches and directs all supervisory and line team members.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule personnel according to forecasted occupancy.
- Must be able to be cross-trained in all departments of Hotel Operations, as directed by management.
- Inspect all Casino Gaming areas, public spaces, grounds and back of house areas.
- Coordinate cleaning of all areas of the Casino as directed by the Department Manager.
- Complete paperwork assignments relating to Casino cleaning.
- Oversee special cleaning projects assigned by the EVS Manager.
- Inspect all guest restrooms, corridors, restaurants, corridors, entrances and service areas for cleanliness and damage in assigned work section.
- Report damage and fill out work request forms for repairs.
- Checks supply closets to make sure they are neat and well supplied.
- Instruct EVS Attendant to get supplies that may be needed from the EVS Storeroom.
- Ensures that all EVS Attendants are following the prescribed cleaning procedures set by the EVS Manager.
- Checks and reports all soiled drapes, carpets, furniture and other special Environmental Services cleaning needs to the EVS Manager.
- Daily Inspections
- Job Tasks must be finished in a timely manner according to department standards.
- Ability to speak local language as well as read and write English.
- Must be able to deliver one on one’s, written and recognition coaching’s to team members.
- Must be able to complete team member evaluations and deliver to the team member once approved by the manager and human resources.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent verbal communication required with sound administrative skills.
- General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is a plus.
- Ability to deal with various types of personalities and situations.
- Ability to make fast and sound decisions.
- Must have working knowledge of all work supervised.
- Must have a desire to reach perfection and excellence.
- Ability to speak local language as well as read and write English.
