In our work, we explore unmet needs in the agri-food value chain, develop potential solutions, and launch new companies to build and bring them to market.

We’ve partnered with Alloy Partners, a venture builder that partners with leading organizations and entrepreneurs to unlock growth and transformation through startup creation. Together we are launching new startups to address challenges across the AgriFood Industry head on.

We are seeking an Independent Board Member for our newest company, Windrow, a technology venture designed to simplify and streamline incentive program management. By matching farmers’ data with eligible programs, Windrow empowers Ag Retailers to make accurate, confident recommendations—saving time, improving adoption of sustainable practices, and unlocking long-term value for all stakeholders.

As an independent board member you’ll work closely with the founders and Alloy Partners teams, who have seen exponential growth across a variety of SaaS platforms in multiple industries.

As a key member of Windrow’s three person board, you will be expected to attend all board meetings, engage with the founder and other board directors and actively contribute and vote on important matters as needed. As the founder and team work to bring their product to market, you will provide feedback on the core value proposition, use your network to make introductions to potential customers and investors and help to build conviction in the market. You will use your network and position in the market to support the founders with their go-to-market strategy and customer acquisition.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as an independent board member and help the founding team to shape corporate strategy and company vision while building conviction in the market, with investors, and customers

  • Provide guidance and strategic feedback on all functional areas, including business development, product, marketing & content, operations, and finance.
  • Work with the founders to cultivate relationships and introductions across EMS, mobile health and government customers

  • Demonstrated experience in an executive or founder role in an early stage technology company is preferred
  • Deep expertise within Ag Retail, Co-ops, AgTech software (ERP, precision agronomics, service support etc) or agriculture federal incentive programs
  • Deep empathy and a passion for solving problems facing farmers and Ag Retailers as they navigate the complexities of financial incentive programs
  • The ability to not only serve as a board member but also as a mentor and advisor to the founders
  • Founder experience is preferred or experience working in an early stage venture backed company in a key leadership role
  • Venture capital fundraising experience with connections to relevant investors is preferred
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with an understanding of what it takes to scale a company from scratch
