Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
S&K Building Services is seeking a proactive and team-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our People & Culture team!
In this role, you’ll support the Director of People & Culture in key HR functions, including payroll processing and employee benefits administration. As an integral part of our team, you’ll help ensure a smooth and positive experience for our employees while contributing to the overall success of the organization. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-driven, self-motivated, and eager to grow in the HR field.
This position will be located at our Headquarters | 4801 Industrial Pkwy, Indianapolis, IN 46226
What You'll Do
- Produce accurate and timely payroll on a weekly basis while ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
- Analyze, prepare and input payroll data to include vacation time, sick time, garnishments, insurance and 401(k) deductions.
- Provide information and answering employee questions about payroll-related matters
- Administer employee benefits
- Process and administer Workers’ Compensation claims
- Process and administer all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA
- Update policies and standard operating procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Who You Are
- You have 2+ years of relatable experience
- You have experience 1+ years experience processing payroll
- You have experience administering benefits, FMLA, and worker's comp
- You are proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, and QuickBooks
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- You have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- You have exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- You have a high level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
- You are willing and able to work in office
- You reside in the Indianapolis, IN area
Nice To Have
- You have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
- You are familiar with iSolved's payroll system
- You have experience in field services industry or similar
- You have an HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP)
