Seeking an experienced, enthusiastic 401k advisor to serve as the relationship manager for a portfolio of 401k clients. Will also be responsible for generating new clients through business development efforts. Conducts periodic plan reviews with plan sponsors and regular employee education meetings. Acts as lead on implementation of new plans. 


Essential Functions:

  1. Schedule and hold review meetings with plan sponsor.
  2. Analyze investment menu for client and suggest improvements.
  3. Provide expertise on plan structure and offer appropriate advice.
  4. Conduct employee education meetings.
  5. Function as liaison with recordkeeper. 
  6. Develop and implement sales strategies that lead to achieving annual sales objectives.
  7. Cross-sell other bank services to 401k clients.
  8. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with commercial lenders and retail bankers to provide a source of referrals for clients and business development opportunities. Participate in joint calls with other relationship managers when appropriate.
  9. Participates in community affairs to increase the Bank's visibility to enhance new business opportunities. 
  10. Assumes additional duties as required.
  11. This position requires the successful candidate to work five days per week in the office. 

Requirements

  • B.S. or B.A. degree required
  • Two years portfolio management and/or investment sales experience required
  • Sales skills with demonstrated ability to generate new business
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills required 
  • Excellent communication skills and desire to collaborate with people is essential 
  • Understanding of mutual funds and fundamental investment principles
