Your Role in Our Mission
At Enveda, every role drives impact. As a VP, Corporate Counsel, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering hope to patients everywhere. Your expertise in corporate law and compliance will be critical in accelerating our mission to navigate complex legal landscapes and ensure alignment with our corporate objectives.
\n- Corporate Objectives: Support our leadership team (e.g., CFO, SVP of Business Development, and VP of Investor Relations) in developing and executing our corporate objectives.
- Corporate Governance: Oversee corporate governance policies, practices, and compliance, ensuring alignment with both legal requirements and ethical standards.
- Risk Management: Lead efforts in identifying and managing legal risks, including business transactions, partnerships, intellectual property, and regulatory matters.
- Fundraising: Provide expert guidance in negotiating, drafting, and reviewing agreements for raising capital.
- Business Development: Support the company’s business development team to ensure that each phase of the transactions is appropriately managed from a legal perspective.
- Compliance Oversight: Support the company in maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, including privacy, data protection, and employment law.
- Mergers & Acquisitions: Lead or support legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, investments, and other business ventures, including due diligence and deal structuring.
- Leadership & Team Development: Build and lead the legal team, providing mentorship, training, and development opportunities to foster growth within the department.
- External Counsel: Manage relationships with external legal advisors and law firms, ensuring cost-effective and efficient use of legal services.
- Education: J.D. (Juris Doctor) from an accredited law school.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of legal experience at an AM100 law firm supporting corporate transactions in the life sciences space, or in an in-house role leading corporate transactions at a biotech company.
- Expertise: Extensive knowledge of corporate law, contracts, compliance, and risk management.
- Leadership: Proven experience managing and mentoring legal teams, with a strong ability to collaborate across departments.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and provide sound legal counsel that aligns with business objectives.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
