Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Category Manager to lead and manage the entire operations related to product categories at Nivaan Care. This role requires a strategic thinker who will drive the sales team, oversee product management, and ensure the seamless execution of category strategies to maximize sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Category & Product Management
- Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies aligned with Nivaan Care’s business objectives.
- Manage the product lifecycle, including assortment planning, pricing, promotions, and inventory management to optimize category performance.
- Lead product development initiatives by collaborating with clinical and marketing teams to tailor offerings to patient needs and market trends.
Sales Team Leadership & Operations Management
- Drive and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets through effective strategy execution and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure product availability, promotional success, and customer engagement.
- Provide training and support to the sales team to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
Market & Consumer Insights
- Conduct detailed market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and growth opportunities.
- Analyze sales data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate category performance and inform decision-making.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms and secure promotional support.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of category strategies with overall business goals.
Reporting & Strategy Optimization
- Prepare and present regular reports on category performance, sales trends, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Continuously refine category strategies based on performance data and market feedback to enhance profitability and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in category management, preferably in healthcare, FMCG, or related sectors.
- Proven track record in managing product categories, driving sales teams, and heading product initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
