GENERAL DESCRIPTION

This Supply Chain role supports the team in the execution of several Supply Chain related workflows.  This position is responsible for maintaining seasonal launch timelines, averting delays, managing product changes, and leading cross-functional planning within Operational and Supply Chain initiatives.

This position will serve as project manager for new product launches, existing modifications, and subcontract projects.  There will be a major focus on supporting strategic and tactical planning and procurement initiatives.  We are looking for a candidate with good project management skills, relevant Supply Chain experience, who is self-motivated, adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. 

This is not a remote or hybrid role.  Please note that the person in this role will be required to work in-office at our Alliance location 5-days per week.  Occasional travel to the Coppell, TX Office required. 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Project Planning & Execution:

  • Understands the full product life cycle; makes recommendations on the development timeline to match production schedules/calendars, advising material specifications, and budgetary costs per project.
  • Confirm the completion of projects and their readiness to go live and keep track (advise) of any corrective actions that will need to be taken after initial production.
  • Develop and maintain projects detailing scope, supplier updates, risk management, and quality control via Asana, Sage X3, and Microsoft Excel

Supplier Management:

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for execution of PDQ and displays programs
  • Manages process documentation for New Supplier onboarding and tech transfers

 Risk Management:

  • Anticipates issues ahead of team members to develop contingencies to meet project timelines and minimize risks.
  • Proactively identify and resolve project/team related issues and offer alternate solutions to optimize project delivery and outcomes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication:

  • Assists Product Development team in tracking the deliverables and timelines for upcoming programs; seeks to remove bottlenecks and address concerns of future risks
  • Provides clear direction on sequencing of events to ensure clarity of team’s activities and accountability between project members to help support successful and on-time project deliveries.
  • Clearly establish and define important milestones for product launches and modifications to provide direction and execution support  to key partners  including product development, sales, and other departments.
  • Works closely with key partners on the maintenance of a rolling forecast/ supply plan for portfolio to balance both service and total inventory position
  • Provides clear direction on sequencing of events to ensure clarity of team’s activities and accountability between project members to help support successful and on-time project deliveries.

Quality Control:

  • Leads and applies company methodology and enforces project standards.
  • Manages Excess and Obsolete with an overall goal to improve purchasing flow and minimize destruction cost.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Effectively communicates relevant project information to team and senior leaders in company to keep projects moving the right direction.
  • Ensure timely communication to stakeholders, team members, and senior leaders during time sensitive urgencies and deliverables. 

EXPERIENCED REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or other related field required
  • Minimum of 5 years of Supply Chain and/ or project management experience
  • High attention to detail
  • Software Skills: Proficiency with MS Office required, intermediate MS Excel required, advanced Excel helpful; experience with a project management tool preferred
  • Logical thinker, sound analytical approach to solving problems.
  • Adapts well to change in timelines and business needs.
  • Must be highly collaborative and communicate well with experts in a variety of departments.
  • Excellent project management skills and follow up communication 
  • Clear written and verbal communication across levels and departments.
  • Ability to connect the dots and anticipate issues to avoid setbacks.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • CPG experience is a must, beauty category experience preferred.
