Position: Data Management Summer Internship

Reports To: Operations Director

Classification: Non-Exempt


Data Management Summer Internship: Approximately 3 month summer internship focused on collecting and managing architectural project data. Will work with Operations Director and project staff to collect, input, and manage data within the company database.

Requirements

  

Data Management Summer Internship: Approximately 3 month summer internship focused on collecting and managing architectural project data. Will work with Operations Director and project staff to collect, input, and manage data within the company database.

Essential Functions:

· Assist in the collection of project data

· Assist in coordination of the planning and development of construction and design document production.

· Assist with project visualization, including diagrams, plans, elevations, renderings. 

· Address and complete redlines on delegated work and produce a complete package of project deliverables

· Contribute innovative design ideas that consistently capture the intended design vision

· Contribute to bold design solutions that balance scale, aesthetics, and context to maximize the impact to the individual and community

Competencies:

· Proficiency in excel and some understanding of working of databases.

· Strong organizational skills, self-motivated 

· Collaborative and professional work ethic

· Attention to detail and ability to thoroughly check project assignments

Work Environment

· This position operates in a professional open office environment with low to moderate noise levels including collaborative work areas for team meetings. Each office provides collaborative work areas and shared resources such as video conferencing, printing/scanning, and a café for dining. Building construction sites may include varying temperatures, wind, dust, and noise levels and may include hazardous and dirty conditions.

Physical Demands

· Hand/Wrist/Finger dexterity for 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week

· Ability to lift a set of construction documents

· Ability to sit for long periods of time

Position/Hours expected to work

· This is a full-time position with the expectation of working 40 hours per week

Required Education and Experience

· Some College education preferred
