We’re looking for an engineer to help drive the modernization of services that are at the foundation of everything we do. You’ll build and migrate scale systems while minimizing customer impact, enable users to take full advantage of the next generation of Unity products, and collaborate with the global team to create reliable, high performance services. What you'll be doing
- Design, develop and maintain our service APIs.
- Work on a complex microservice architecture to develop new features.
- Ensure service scalability through effective code and data storage design.
- Design, implement, test, and maintain Unity’s services that are capable of handling real-time and batch processing of thousands of requests and daily events.
- Write high-quality code that supports existing and future functionality of the product.
- Interact with high amount of data and debug complicated customer issues.
- Build and migrate scalable software systems while maximizing customer impact.
- Collaborate with the global team to create reliable, high performance software services.
- Separate systems into condensed suites.
- Drive modernization of software services.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and three (3) years of related work experience.
- Must have three (3) years of experience with/in: Software development using at least one of the following compiled and statically typed languages: Java, Golang, or C++; Databases including at least one of: Mongo, MySQL, BigQ, PostgreSQL; Developing, and testing and deploying software applications; and HTTP, JSON and RESTful API design.
- Must have two (2) years of experience with/in: Breaking apart a legacy monolith into a suite of microservices; Developing and researching authentication systems using OAuth2, SSO, and secure access control; and At least one of the following: TypeScript, Javascript, ReactJS.
- International relocation support is not available for this position.

- 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary: $148,370 - $158,370/yr. Standard company benefits.
- Telecommuting permitted on a hybrid schedule as determined by the employer.
