Job Description
Located in Roswell, GA and under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with the full accounting function within the US and CAN operating units. Month end close, balance sheet reconciliations, cash management, and audit are just a few specific functions that the role will contribute towards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in accounting or similar functions
- Strong analytical skills using MS Office products including Excel.
- Strong understanding US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Detail oriented, be a self-starter with a positive and “can-do” attitude.
- Good problem-solving and time management skills
Additional Information
- Role has responsibilities for US Operating, Canada, and Global Site Solutions entities.
- Assist with the month-end close process, including general close entries and procedures.
- Perform account reconciliation and analysis and maintain support at audit-ready level.
- Perform corporate accounts payable procedures (primarily expense payables).
- Assist with populating check runs and the printing of checks.
- Collaborate with the departments and business partners to provide ad hoc research, reporting and projects as it pertains to all areas of corporate accounting.
- Corporate card program activity reconciliation and communication with cardholders.
