Midwest Facial Plastics Surgery is seeking an individual with strong interpersonal and customer service skills to join our team as a Surgery Scheduler Consultant. This is an amazing opportunity to contribute to a growing organization and utilize your skills in Aesthetics and Facial Plastics. This role is perfect for an individual looking to utilize their strong guest services skills, including those who have worked in healthcare as well as those who have experience as guest service specialists within the beauty, aesthetic, and cosmetic industries. Successful candidates have strong multi-tasking, computer, and interpersonal skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule patients accurately and efficiently for all surgical procedures while providing exceptional guest experiences.
- Responsible for ensuring all demographic information is entered correctly at the time of scheduling and verify and obtain prior authorizations if needed. Document scheduled procedures in the practice management system.
- Schedule post-op appointments and provide basic patient education.
- Provide patients with all necessary information regarding their procedure.
- Document scheduled surgeries in the practice management system.
- Collect cash payments for cosmetic procedures at the time of booking.
- Serve as a contact for Midwest Facial Plastics for hospitals, surgery centers, physicians and patients regarding schedules.
- Responsible for being up to date on all insurance requirements and following all requested guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Marketing, Business, or equivalent degree. Or 4+ years of healthcare scheduling experience.
- High level competency of technological applications including: Outlook, Microsoft Teams, electronic health record systems, and phone systems.
- The ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Experiencing closing high-ticket sales highly preferred.
