Job Description
The Transformation Director is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the vision, securing business outcomes/value realisation, and leading the customer’s transformation strategy from top down. The role will also be overseeing the technical direction, innovation, and establish the bridge between strategy and delivery.
Leading a transformation journey as a Transformation Director involves driving the governance and technical aspects of the transformation and ensuring that the customer is well-positioned to embrace and leverage the new way of working.

The Transformation Director plays a crucial role in shaping and driving the customer’s transformation journey, driving innovation, and ensuring that the governance and technology initiatives align with their business objectives. This role requires continuous monitoring, and measuring service delivery and adjusting to keep the core team aligned and focused within a customer’s ever-changing landscape.
The Transformation Director will work closely with IFS Executive team on driving the joint strategy and IFS GCS to oversee execution. The Transformation Director will primarily be engaged in the field with the customer, guiding the IFS core team in collaboration with the customer to achieve a joint outcome. The Transformation Director will typically be focused on 1-2 Customers, with additional advisory required on an as needed basis.

Leadership: Leadership skills are crucial, as the role need to inspire and motivate both the Customer and IFS core team, foster collaboration, and create a culture of innovation. Effective communication, mentoring, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels are essential for successful leadership.
Business Acumen: While being technically proficient, a Transformation Director should also have a solid understanding of business principles and governance. The role needs to be able to translate technical concepts into business value, articulate ROI for technology investments, and make informed decisions that align with the customer’s vision and strategy.
Customer Focus: A Transformation Director should be customer-centric and have a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points. By actively engaging with customers and understanding their challenges, the Transformation Director can guide the delivery of services that meet those needs and create a competitive advantage for the customer.
Adaptability and Learning Agility: The technology landscape is constantly evolving therefore a Transformation Director must be adaptable and willing to learn. The role should embrace change, keep up with IFS strategy, emerging trends, and continuously upgrade skills and knowledge to stay relevant in a rapidly evolving industry.
Collaboration and Relationship Building: Collaboration is key for a Transformation Director, as the role often work closely with various stakeholders within IFS and the Customer, including executives, engineers, product managers and the core delivery team. Building strong relationships and fostering effective collaboration across teams and business units is essential for driving successful outcomes.
Technical Expertise: A Transformation Director should possess knowledge and expertise across enterprise software solutions within a defined industry. The role should have an understanding of the IFS technologies, trends, and emerging developments within the industry. This expertise enables the Transformation Director to provide valuable insights, guide technical decision-making, and stay ahead of the curve.
Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Transformation Directors should possess strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. They need to analyse complex challenges, evaluate potential solutions, and make informed decisions that balance technical feasibility, business impact, and resource constraints.
