The Finance Business Partner is a strategic advisor who delivers financial insights, supports data-driven decision-making, and ensures strong financial performance across our US-based teams. This individual will partner closely with Technical, Operations, and Commercial leaders, and will play a key role in ensuring compliance with FIA Financial Regulations. As we establish our US headquarters, this role will also be instrumental in supporting facility buildout efforts with a focus on cost control and regulatory compliance.

 

Strategic Partnership & Decision Support

  • Serve as a trusted finance advisor to US and UK leadership, helping to identify opportunities and manage risks. Collaborate cross-functionally to support business objectives with financial insight and constructive challenge.

 

Planning & Analysis

  • Lead budget planning, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial modeling for US operations.
  • Translate financial trends into clear, actionable insights.

 

Cost Management & Compliance

  • Champion cost optimization initiatives, especially those impacted by FIA Financial Regulations and the cost cap. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

 

Performance Reporting

  • Develop and deliver monthly financial performance reports, including variance analysis, for senior stakeholders. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations for improvement.

 

Process Improvement & Innovation

  • Stay current with industry best practices, finance tools, and technologies. Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and increase efficiency.

 

Training & Communication

  • Educate both finance and non-finance team members on cost cap compliance and financial reporting practices.

Driven by high performance:
What do you need to bring to the team?

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required.
  • Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) certification required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive financial experience, ideally with some leadership responsibility.
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or a regulated industry is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear, compelling way to non-financial audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of using financial data to drive business decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience in cost optimization, process improvement, and financial controls.
  • Proficiency with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and advanced Excel modeling skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment with shifting priorities.
