What you can offer us: 

• Assist in preparation of annual and monthly budgets, variance reporting, forecasts.   
• Report monthly results to department leads, provide detail as needs, assist in updating forecasts.   
• Ensure financial controls are in place and are working in the business
• Understand and lead effort improve and streamline recurring revenue
• Work with CFO, design financial dashboards, update metrics, report results, identify issues.   
• With CFO, provide financial analysis to the business as needed including market analysis, margin analysis, pricing support, customer/product profitability. 
• Oversee and manage daily accounting needs including payables, billing/collections, bank accounts, inventory.  
• Manage month end closing through balance sheet within 5 business days including reconciliations.  
• Lead the accounting processes including financial statement preparation, month end close, journal entry preparation, and transaction processing. 
• Manage and streamline month-end accounting process, ensuring conformance with US GAAP including assessments and action plans associated with the implementation of new standards (e.g., ASC 606 and ACS 842).   
• Research professional GAAP literature and draft appropriate memoranda to support the company's application of GAAP for specific issues.  
• Ensure the successful completion of the end-year audit and support AI's relationships with external auditors, tax advisors and consultants.  
• Manage and oversee sales tax compliance, registration, filing and any updates to sales tax law.

Requirements

What you need to be successful: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
• 8 years in corporate accounting, 4 years in a Controller role or related position. 
• Experience with large ERP systems with preference for Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains experience. 
• 5 years of leadership/direct supervision experience. 
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; self-starter, independent, does not require a lot supervision.  
• Strong process implementation and internal control skills, desire and ability to define efficient process and follow process carefully, attention to detail and passion for getting the details right, organized. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Accounting
• Experience with HR, Audits, and Commercial Insurance
• Professional certifications, Big 4, CPA
• Experience with acquisitions on the buy and/or sell side
