Senior Financial Accountant

Zoomo vehicles are used by major players in the food, grocery and parcel delivery segments with partners including UberEats, Doordash, JustEat Takeaway, Deliveroo, Domino’s, Pizza Hut, Amazon, FedEx, Getir, Ocado, GoPuff and many more.

The Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to manage accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting for our French, Dutch, and German entities. You will play a key role in supporting the Finance team and ensuring a smooth transition during a period of change.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting cycle for France, the Netherlands, and Germany, including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.
• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual VAT returns and other statutory filings for multiple jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with external providers (auditors, tax advisors, payroll agencies) to ensure compliance and timely delivery of financial information.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
• Maintain and update documentation of accounting processes and internal controls.
• Assist with the implementation of new accounting policies, tools, or ERP systems as required.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis for management.
• Act as a point of contact for finance-related queries from internal teams across different countries.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in accounting and tax, ideally within an international group or multi-entity environment.
• Fluent in French and English (written and spoken); Spanish is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of French accounting and tax regulations; experience with Dutch and German entities is highly valued.
• Experience with VAT returns and cross-border compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Netsuite, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
