ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our organization as a Site Director in our Whatcom County Office. This position will be responsible for managing all programs out of the office and ensuring compliance with grant requirements by coordinating with national World Relief staff.  If you have a passion to work with newly arrived refugees and immigrants, are a dedicated professional with a proven track record in team management, program coordination, and resettlement services, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This role is responsible for supervising others and includes responsibilities consistent with supervising employees, including but not limited to monitoring daily work activities, tracking and approving timesheets including approving time off, monitoring performance including entering goals, progress check-ins, and weekly or bi-weekly check-ins, documenting performance concerns, entering staff promotions, transitions, and separations in HRIS within required time frame. Managers at World Relief are also considered spiritual leaders and are expected to lead staff in a manner consistent with our Christian values, including but not limited to praying with staff, leading devotionals, and fostering a Christian environment in interactions with staff throughout World Relief.
Office development:
  • Work closely with the Executive Director to develop and execute strategies for the growth and efficient operation of the local site. This includes identifying opportunities for expansion, overseeing site operations, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.   
Program and Budget Management:
  • Manage all programs operated out of the office, ensuring their effective execution, high quality services and timely achievement of program objectives. This includes overseeing program budgets, coordinating with program staff, and monitoring progress towards goals.   
Grant Compliance:
  • Collaborate with Regional and national Program Directors to ensure compliance with grant requirements across all programs. This involves understanding grant guidelines, monitoring program activities, preparing necessary reports, and coordinating with stakeholders to meet funding obligations.   
Team Leadership:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of staff members working at the local site. Foster a positive work environment, promote professional growth, and ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team. Embody the mission, vision, and values of World Relief, setting an example for the office staff, volunteers, participants, churches and the community. Provide coaching and supervision of direct reports, focusing on leadership development.   
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with other service providers, community organizations, and stakeholders to ensure coordinated efforts and maximize resources.   
  • Manage and oversee the community engagement staff, providing leadership, guidance, and support in their roles and responsibilities. 
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage the local community, build partnerships, and enhance the organization's presence and impact. 
  • Work closely with the Director of Strategic Advancement to develop and coordinate events and fundraising efforts in accordance with the regional strategic vision. 


JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Mature and personal Christian faith

  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as client’s needs change 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable access to an insured vehicle required 
  • Must be able to pass a background check and MVR check 
  • Experience in Microsoft software including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook   
  • Demonstrated team management experience


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, nonprofit management) or equivalent experience.
  • Master's degree preferred. 
  • Proven experience in site management, program coordination, and grant compliance within a nonprofit or social services organization. 
  • Strong knowledge of resettlement programs and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks. 
  • Experience working with immigrant communities and or other under-represented communities.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, collaborate effectively, and represent the organization professionally. 
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management, mentoring, and fostering a positive work environment. 
  • Commitment to the organization's mission and values, and a passion for making a positive impact in the community.
