ROLE OVERVIEW


We are looking for a detail-oriented and linguistically skilled German Text Annotator Specialist to support the development and enhancement of AI and machine learning models. In this role, you will label, annotate, and classify text data according to predefined guidelines, contributing to the training of natural language processing (NLP) systems such as chatbots, virtual assistants, and large language models (LLMs).

RESPONSIBILITIES


- Read, review, and annotate large volumes of text data with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.

- Follow detailed annotation guidelines to label data according to categories such as intent, sentiment, named entities, or syntactic structure.

- Collaborate with project managers, linguists, and QA leads to refine annotation rules and resolve ambiguities.

- Provide feedback on tool usability, guideline clarity, and data quality.

- Conduct quality checks and peer reviews on annotated datasets.

- Meet productivity and quality targets as defined by the project scope.


REQUIREMENTS


- Native-level or near-native fluency in German and strong command of English.

- Prior experience with text annotation, linguistic data labeling, or NLP-related projects is preferred.

- Excellent reading comprehension and attention to detail.

- Familiarity with linguistic concepts such as syntax, semantics, and pragmatics is a plus.

- Comfortable working with annotation tools, spreadsheets, or task platforms.

- Able to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
