Your Role

We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager (m/f/d) to guide and grow a team of talented engineers while also providing architectural leadership and technical mentorship. This role blends hands-on engineering guidance with people-first leadership. You’ll shape our systems and our team’s careers and help define what great engineering looks like at Voyfai.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers (8-10), supporting their career development and fostering a culture of ownership and growth.

• Provide technical direction and architectural mentorship, ensuring scalable, high-quality solutions across our stack.

• Guide design discussions, facilitate technical decision-making, and challenge the status quo to elevate engineering standards.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and AI teams to build impactful, customer-facing features.

• Partner with recruitment to scale the team thoughtfully and inclusively.

• Champion engineering best practices, code quality, and DevOps excellence.

• Balance hands-on guidance with strategic leadership: you may still dip into code, but your focus is on multiplying the team's output.

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on backend technologies and fullstack capabilities.

• Solid understanding of backend development principles, with experience in Node.js or similar technologies.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and engage with customers.

• A proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
