Job Description
This position will be a key member of the Global Data team responsible for the managing Platform & Product Development across Global Data Office Portfolio of Products and Solutions
Develop and implement a comprehensive data platform strategy aligned with GDO and Visa’s business goals and objectives.
Develop a comprehensive platform road map that aligns with businesses objectives and market opportunities.
Define and prioritize platform requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure the platform meets user needs and business goals.
Lead the end-to-end product development life cycle, from initial concept and design through to development, testing, launch and post-launch optimization.
Oversee critical features such as data ingestion, data quality, data enrichment, and data distribution to ensure the platform delivers high-quality and reliable data.
Collaborate with engineering, data science, and other cross functional teams to ensure successful product delivery.
Communicate product vision, strategy and Progress effectively to all stakeholders.
Build and support strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners.
Define the data architecture and data governance strategy for the data platforms.
Implement best practices for data management, including data quality measurement, data enrichment processes, and data distribution mechanisms.
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of product managers and data analysts, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback and coaching, and support professional development to ensure team members achieve their full potential.
Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, using data-driven insights to identify areas for optimization and drive continuous improvement.
Gather and incorporate feedback from stakeholders, including users and partners, to refine and enhance the product offering.
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies competitive landscape, market, and client needs, to shape the data acquisition roadmap and align strategic goals.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• 10+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 4 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• 10 years of experience in product management, with demonstrated ability to launch and manage new product releases being part of a matrix organization in a highly technical and evolving data space.
• Proven track record of successfully developing and managing data partnerships.
• Strong business acumen and knowledge of machine learning or data processing algorithms for Data Products
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Fundamental and broad knowledge of common data management, data engineering tools and methodologies
• Expert knowledge of technology processes for data management (For e.g. Apache Spark, Postman, Artifactory, Python, Scikit Learn, Pandas, GitHub etc.)
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills needed to effectively communicate technical insights and recommendations with business customers and leadership team.
• Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
• Strong experience in data science, deep learning models, cloud computing, and experience with big data and broader AI/ML tools, platforms, and technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience with data analytics tools and technologies is a plus.
• Data Products experience in the card industry or financial service company using for fraud, credit risk, payments is a plus.
• Proficiency with software development methodologies such as Agile and experience working with Scrum teams and matrix organizations. Experience partnering with technologists using Agile or other expedited design and development methodologies.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 165,400.00 to 239,850.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
