Job Description

  • Manage USI social media pages by posting 4x a week in each channel (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, IG, Youtube, X)
  • Film and edit high-quality social media videos
  • Collaborate on social media campaigns with Enrollment, Development and Recruitment teams
  • Create graphics with Canva for USI channels and templates for regional channels
  • Track content performance and provide insights on what works best
  • Work on creating content for a new TikTok channel for Uncommon
  • Maintain a consistent posting schedule and engage with followers
  • Maintain news tab on Uncommon website updated with the latest news stories
  • Responsible for community engagement on USI social media channels
  • Assist in managing regular meetings with regional social media teams
  • Reviewing social media captions from regions daily for approval
  • Collaborate with external partners on posts for key events or campaigns

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required
    • Preferred areas of studies: communications, advertising, journalism, film/video
  • Knowledgeable in: Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok; Hootsuite; Google Analytics;
    Photoshop; Canva; SEO; Bitly, Paid social media advertising (Meta); Data analytics, Capcut (or Video Editing Software), shoot video, photograph
  • 4+ years of professional experience; at least 1-2 years in a role coordinating social media content

Travel Requirements:

  • Monthly travel outside of NYX region

Compensation 

Compensation for this role is between $85,000 to $100,000. 

Starting pay is determined using various factors including but not limited to relevant professional experience, education, certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools. If you meet all job description requirements you will likely receive an offer of $90,000.
