Responsibilities

Staff Occupational Therapist – Community Hospital of San Bernardino

Step into a rewarding role where your clinical expertise directly impacts patients across a diverse range of needs. Community Hospital of San Bernardino is seeking a dedicated Staff Occupational Therapist to deliver comprehensive care for both inpatient and outpatient populations.

In this position, you will evaluate and treat patients within multiple service areas including Neurology, Orthopedics, Oncology, Cardiology, Medical-Surgical, and Skilled Nursing. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams and support personnel to implement individualized therapy programs aimed at restoring function and promoting independence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient evaluations, establish care plans, and set measurable goals
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions in accordance with physician orders and evidence-based practice
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and at-home care strategies
  • Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
  • Supervise support staff and occupational therapy affiliates
  • Assist in advancing department goals aligned with business, mission, and quality objectives
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continuous performance improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Current registration, certification, or license as an Occupational Therapist issued by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc., or proof of eligibility to sit for the National Certification Exam;
  • Currently licensed by the California Board of Occupational Therapy or eligible for California Licensure.
  • The candidate must have proof of eligibility
  • Current BLS certification
  • A licensed applicant must have proof of current applicant status
