The Warren Lab in the Program in Immunology in the Translational Research and Therapeutics Division at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center has an opportunity for an undergraduate biosciences-related major seeking to enhance their academic pursuits to participate in a Research Internship. Available projects include 1) learning how to engineer human T cells with tumor antigen-specific T-cell receptors and chimeric antigen receptors and evaluating their preclinical tumor-specific cytotoxicity; and 2) learning how to isolate clonally expanded T-cell populations from tumors and optimizing their ex vivo expansion to maintain non-exhausted, memory-like, tumor-reactive T cells. We are looking for students with an excellent academic record seeking to gain original research experience in support of their academic goals. Candidates must be organized and reliable with a strong attention to detail and a passion for research.
This is an unpaid internship position. Students must be able to earn research course credits through their undergraduate program and are encouraged to apply for independent scholarship support. We are seeking a student that can begin in the Summer quarter and attend the lab at least 12 hours per week.
