Summary of Job Duties:

The Department of Information Systems within the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas invites applicants to apply for the position of non-tenure track Instructor to begin August 11, 2025. This position will teach eight, three-hour courses per academic year within Information Systems (e.g., Cybersecurity, Infrastructure and Cloud Computing, ERP, Database, and/or Business Analytics, with a mix of face-to-face and online courses, as needed) and participate in curriculum (re)design.

Regular on-campus availability, in-person teaching, and active contribution to the life of the department, including exhibiting respect and cooperation in shared academic and administrative tasks are essential duties.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completed a Master’s degree in Information Systems, business analytics, or a closely related field, prior to the position start date, from a nationally or internationally accredited university


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching courses in information systems, analytics, or a related area

  • Professional experience in information systems or related field (to include marketing experience and leadership experience); as well as the ability to work with graduate students

  • Documented excellence in teaching graduate level courses

  • Documented experience in both face-to-face and blended/online course delivery

  • Documented experience and expertise in teaching courses focused on cloud computing, cybersecurity, database/data warehouse/”big data”, enterprise resource planning, or analytics.

The Information Systems Department has an active research-oriented Ph.D. program, a Master of Information Systems program, Master of Applied Business Analytics program, Master of Healthcare Business Analytics program, Graduate Certificates, and a BSBA major in Information Systems.
