POSITION OVERVIEW
TransGrid Energy is seeking an ambitious and passionate Project Control Analyst who will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, in-depth knowledge of scheduling and cost management, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. The Project Control Analyst will work closely across the TransGrid Energy team and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed from late-stage development through financial close and ultimately commercial operation; ensuring safe, quality, timely and on-budget execution by TransGrid Energy and third-party partners.
Please note: This role is a full-time, on-site position based in Irvine, CA. Attendance in the office is required five days a week with no exceptions. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available for this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules and timelines using project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Smartsheet).
Perform cost analysis and manage budgets to ensure projects are completed within financial targets.
Collaborate with project managers and other team members to gather all necessary data for schedule development and cost management.
Arrange, organize, and lead regularly scheduled project meetings to report, coordinate, and assign project activities, review and update project schedule, problem solve, and manage project risks.
Identify potential schedule and budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
Develop processes and templates to generate and present regular reports on project status, including schedule updates, cost performance, and risk assessments to management and stakeholders.
Support the project team in planning and decision-making processes by providing accurate and timely financial and scheduling information.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards in project scheduling and cost management.
Assist in the development and improvement of project controls systems, methodologies, tools, processes, and best practices necessary to successfully execute projects and track progress from project initiation through completion.
Develop, build, and maintain a positive and productive relationship with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance, Environmental Science or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in project controls, scheduling, or cost management.
Experience in the development and construction of utility scale renewable energy projects is a plus.
Familiarity with project management, process development/management and project management technology implementations.
Strong understanding of project management principles, including schedule development, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
Experience managing project schedules and project budgets, as well as understanding of key project value levers (commercial, financial, etc.).
Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project, Smartsheet) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to successfully communicate in all situations with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects/work streams, set priorities, and exercise independent judgment.
Experience with ERP platforms and ERP implementation a plus.
WORK AUTHORIZATION
