Tomorrow Water is seeking a highly motivated and talented Project Engineer (Environmental/Civil/Chemical) to join our team at our headquarters in Anaheim, California. As a Project Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing innovative wastewater treatment and resource recovery solutions for our clients. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of engineers, working on diverse projects from initial studies and designs to field assignments and client support. Key Responsibilities:

·        Engineering Design & Analysis:

·        Assist in the preparation of comprehensive water and wastewater engineering deliverables, including hydraulic profiles, process flow diagrams (PFDs), design basis reports, mass balance calculations, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and chemical consumption lists.

·        Contribute to process calculations, bench-scale and pilot testing, and provide engineering design services throughout the design and construction phases of projects.

·        Research & Development:

·        Support the research activities, including applied research involving bench-scale, pilot-scale, and full-scale testing to evaluate and validate the performance of Tomorrow Waters's treatment processes and technologies.

·        Analyze and interpret research data, integrate findings into process models, and assist in the preparation of detailed technical reports.

·        Project Support & Collaboration:

·        Work collaboratively with team members to evaluate and select optimal treatment approaches for addressing client challenges and designing effective treatment systems and plant improvements.

·        Provide technical support for business development activities, including participation in pre-position meetings, preparation of presentation slides, and development of compelling proposals.

·        Technical Expertise & Quality Assurance:

·        Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for field sampling and equipment calibration.

·        Support the engineering and design development of Tomorrow Water's products, systems, and equipment.

·        Implement rigorous quality control processes to ensure that project specifications and standards are consistently met.

·        Project Management & Coordination:

·        Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure seamless integration of technical aspects across all project phases.

·        Review design documents prepared by other engineers, subcontractors, and drafters to ensure they meet project scope, client needs, and quality standards.

·        Address and resolve technical issues that arise throughout the project lifecycle, proactively identifying potential challenges and developing effective solutions.

·        Coordinate and track submittals, change orders, schedules, and the distribution of updated documents to subcontractors and vendors.

·        Continuous Learning & Development:

·        Develop a deep understanding of engineering principles and practices relevant to the water and wastewater treatment field.

·        Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in water treatment technologies and regulations.

Experience and Skills Required:

·        A minimum of a master’s degree in civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering (or a closely related field).

·        0-2 years of relevant work experience in the water and wastewater industry, with a focus on biological process design, process performance analysis, or process engineering services for wastewater treatment projects.

·        Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes, technologies, and equipment.

·        Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and AutoCAD.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely.

·        Results-oriented with a proven ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

·        Strong work ethic with an unwavering commitment to quality and professional work.

·        The ability to travel to various projects or pilot sites

·        The position is on-site in Anaheim office and hybrid option can be considered as per qualification.

Work Environment 

  • Location: Anaheim, California Headquarters
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 hrs per day
  • Travel Required: Less than 20 % of time
