Job Details

The successful candidate will be expected to work on retinal and neuropathology after neonatal MCMV infection, and the role of T cells and microglia in modulating disease outcomes. The successful candidate is expected to read the scientific literature surrounding this topic, formulate hypotheses, independently plan and execute experiments, analyze data, and write up the results of their experiment for presentations and publications.

Qualifications

PhD required. Candidates will be expected to be familiar with animal models of immune function and viral disease and be able to perform immune assays for T cell, myeloid cell and microglia function. Assays will likely include the use of flow cytometry, intracellular cytokine staining, ELISAs, transcriptional analyses, immune fluorescent histology, and virological assays among other assays standard for the field.
