Summary:
The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services. This includes processing and monitoring payments and expenditures. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that finances are accurate and up to date, that vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Codes such items as invoices, expense reports, check requests, etc., with correct codes conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system.
- Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices and expense reports.
- Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records and reports.
- Assists with other Accounts Payable (AP) Coordinators workload when necessary to meet departmental deadlines.
- Assists on maintaining Accounts Payables procedures and controls.
- Performs other duties as required to support Accounting Department.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent verbal & written communication & interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills; must be detail oriented and able to multi-task
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable principles and procedures
- Open to change and willing to learn new skills
- Ability to follow up on pending issues
- Ability to meet deadlines
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
- MS Office products: Excel, Word, Outlook
