Job Description

TAAF is excited to offer an internship program that will provide participants with challenging, meaningful, and real-world experience. Participants will support departments on a variety of high-stakes projects related to administrative support, process development and improvement, and project management. In addition to having a dedicated mentor, participants will receive access to leadership and professional growth activities to gain valuable career experience in a fast paced startup environment focused on social change. 

As part of our overarching content marketing strategy, the Digital Marketing Intern will assist TAAF's Content Writer with the development of the first-ever TAAF blog that will be launching in Spring 2025. The Digital Marketing Intern will assist with researching, exploring, and proposing potential content, brand partnerships, and unique engagement strategies to create thumb stopping moments for TAAF’s social media.

Responsibilities:

The intern will be responsible for helping to build out various strategies with the content writer including, but not limited to: interviewing AAPI leaders, writing one blog post per week or helping to edit submissions from the organization. The topics for these posts can be inspired by either their own interests or topics suggested by the Content Writer such as book recommendations, TV shows to watch, conversations with AANHPI creatives and trailblazers, and more.

Required Skills

  • Currently pursuing or a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Prior experience or internship experience in social media marketing a plus
  • Knowledge of social media + social management tools,
  • Blog writing
  • Basic graphic design skills
  • Passionately supports, understands, and can communicate our mission to serve the AAPI community in our pursuit of belonging and prosperity that is free from discrimination, slander, and violence

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly rate is $16.00 unless otherwise determined by any applicable city, county and state regulations regarding minimum wage

Location

  • Candidates based in the metropolitan New York City and San Francisco area follow a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office presence three days per week, with occasional travel as needed
