(T&M) has been one of the largest distributors of natural stone slab and tile, quartz surfacing, and a manufacturer of poured-in-place terrazzo and resinous flooring. Terrazzo & Marble Supply is looking to add a Full-Time Designer, the Design Channel Sales Representative. This role will be assigned to various Designers who are directly involved in recommending residential construction finishes to generate specifications and sales, while developing strong business relationships. Specifically, they will be assigned Designers in a territory with the objective of creating pull-thru marketing and ultimately sales, for T&M.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver best-in-class service to all customers in alignment with our T&M brands and reputation.
- Engage and attract the attention of both existing and potential clients through various channels and initiatives that consistently put the product in front of them, ensuring that Terrazzo & Marble remains top-of-mind when specifying T&M products or brands.
- Conduct CEU presentations and Product Knowledge presentations.
- Attend key industry events, participating in organizations that have the ability to broaden Terrazzo & Marble's visibility in the Design community. Examples include: ASID, Luxe, River North Design District, Designs for Dignity, Modern Luxury, NextGen, and networking with non-competitive brands to source projects.
- Focus on building a broad base of repeat customers and generating T&M loyalty.
- Continuously gather information on local competition and the prevailing industry and business climate within the region; communicate this information to management and others as needed.
- Manage expenses to deliver the best possible return on investment. (Showroom displays, events hosted by T&M & entertainment).
- Engage with marketing & import for support in the respective market on the tools that are needed to drive sales.
- Attend and participate in strategic sales meetings.
- Follow-up through the entire sales cycle from specification to installation.
- Identify customer requirements, expectations, and needs. Responds to all inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide samples for residential projects and update libraries with Terrazzo & Marble product lines and marketing materials.
- Ensure T&M doesn’t lose specification, work closely with a market sales rep to ensure that at each point of contact in the sales cycle (builder, GC & fabricator), T&M is holding the specification and closing active projects.
- Manage CRM/ERP data as expected by the manager. Activities, Accounts, contacts, and DR members must always be kept current.
- Actively utilize all social media channels in order to promote T&M brands & products.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college, or six months to one year of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
- Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
- Excellent problem resolution and consultative sales skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Proficient in contact management systems, databases, the Internet, order processing, spreadsheets, and word processing.
