Job Overview
The Photo & Video Associate plays an important role in the planning and execution of assigned video/photo production within the global Creative Department. The role requires interpreting briefs and managing multiple projects daily, while producing and post-producing high quality content for digital media, social, website, etc. This is a hands-on role that requires a video/photo production professional with appropriate industry experience who is highly motivated, ambitious, and eager to join our team of creative professionals.
Primary Responsibilities
- Interpret and understand creative briefs and participate in kick-off meetings with the Marketing and Creative Teams to get project scope and produce all assigned video and photo assignments for the company (from pre- to post-production)
- Generate imaginative ideas aimed to solve business challenges and opportunities
- Think creatively among the production of multiple projects and suggest creative and feasible solutions to fit the needs of projects for in-house or on location shoots
- Lead on planning, organizing and executing video and photo shoots, including pre and postproduction coordination, staffing, budgeting, scheduling, booking and coordinating talent (models, voiceover, artists), transportation, locations, collecting props, etc.
- Be proficient in all aspects of production, including project management from start to finish
- Implement production templated workflows such as call sheets, production design bootlegs, storyboards, shooting boards, etc.
- Undertake offline and online video editing, and color grading
- Undertake photography, image processing and retouching
- Keeping up to date the global video library
- Work independently, and collaboratively with copywriting, marketing and operation teams to produce project goals and deliverables
- Maintain, operate and suggest capability improvements of the studio, and all lighting, sound, and image equipment
Requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in producing video and photo content
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (namely Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop) and DaVinci Resolve
- Excellent knowledge of operating professional photo & video cameras (Canon C series + Canon DSLR, a plus), pre-production/planning, studio and field production, lighting/grip and digital still photography
- Familiarity with project management platforms, i.e. Wrike, a plus
- A good understanding of motion graphics, graphic design and typography
- Technical expertise in videography and a comprehensive knowledge of industry trends and standards
- Proven capabilities in visual content production and post-production.
- Resourceful and effective troubleshooter with willingness to make suggestions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, responding quickly to changing priorities, problem solving and multitasking in rapidly changing environment
- Strong understanding of photo and video shoots best practices and procedures on set (studio or location)
- Demonstrated skill set in digital video editing and photo retouching
- Must be available for occasional travel across North America, and further abroad if necessary
- Online portfolio required for review demonstrating proven skills for this position
