Job Description Summary

The Program Coordinator II is a skilled strategist who helps identify and pursue growth opportunities. The Program Coordinator II has a keen understanding of strategic business principles, excellent research and analytical abilities, and strong engagement and leadership skills. The Program Coordinator II is tasked with proposing processes and systems for ongoing evaluation of service and product needs of a diverse scope of potential clients and stakeholders and developing recommendations for growth strategies.

The Program Coordinator II should be able to communicate these strategies effectively to various internal stakeholders, support business relationships with current or prospective clients, and ensure successful implementation of strategies with documented growth achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Leads strategic planning initiatives to support business goals. 

  • Analyzes market trends and competitor methods. 

  • Develops and implements strategic plans that meet business goals and objectives created in collaboration with executive leadership. 

  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to gather pertinent information, provide clarity, and build consensus around strategies. 

  • Proposes changes to the company’s strategy based on data-driven analysis. 

  • Drives strategic initiatives and supports the development of long-term growth plans and profitability goals. 

  • Analyzes and interprets data to provide innovative insight. 

  • Measures and reports on the success of business strategies. 

  • Ensures strategies align with the company’s overall goals and mission. 

  • Analyzes company’s position in the market, identifying opportunities and threats. 

  • Presents strategic plans to stakeholders and company executives for approval. 

  • Coordinates with various departments to ensure implementation of strategic plans. 

  • Monitors and evaluates the success of implemented strategies. 

  • Provides recommendations to the company based on the results of strategic initiatives. 

  • Advises on potential strategic partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions. 

  • Keeps abreast of industry, government, and public health news and trends to ensure strategies remain relevant and effective.  

  • Conducts research and analysis to determine funding priorities and optimal allocation of funds. 

  • Monitors and tracks the spending of appropriated funds. 

  • Drafts and reviews legislative language.

  • Reports to the business team and leadership on the status of appropriations bills and funding allocations. 

  • Maintains confidentiality and security of sensitive information related to funding decisions. 

  • Contributes to the budgetary process for the Center and with clients. 

  • Reviews financial requests and determines funding allocations. 

  • Identifies and pursues growth opportunities. 

  • Provides clerical and office support within the organization.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Four years of related experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

  • Verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, public policy, economics, or a related field.

  • Masters degree or higher in public administration, finance, or public health.

  • At least five years experience working in or with a government agency or comparable authoritative entity, including tracking of government bills, reports, and laws and related information.

  • 6 years of experience in communications.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of government programs, policies, and regulations across numerous authoritative entities.

  • Strong communication and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication, research, and project management skills.

  • Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environment with attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with engaging with policy officials, legislators, regulators, program managers, and other government and non-government leadership and staff.

  • Ability to research and summarize complex policy programs and intentions and associated financial estimates and communicate findings to the business team and leadership.

  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).

  • Working knowledge of WordPress or other content management systems for managing websites.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. 

  • Self-motivated. 

  • Proven experience as a strategist or business planning consultant. 

  • Strong understanding of business analysis and performance metrics. 

  • Excellent analytical and organizational abilities. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking abilities. 

  • Ability to communicate complex data effectively. 

  • Experience in project management and/or sales. 

  • Understanding of market research and data analysis.
