Technical Project Manager

About the Role:

We’re looking for a dynamic and technically savvy Technical Project Manager who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments and is passionate about AI. In this role, you’ll wear many hats—supporting business operations, coordinating events, engaging with the AI startup community, and collaborating across marketing, recruiting, and admin tasks.

This is an ideal role for someone who can comfortably shift between strategic planning and hands-on execution, with the ability to have informed technical conversations, particularly around AI. 

This is a full-time hybrid position for candidates based in Medellín, Colombia. You must already hold a valid visa that allows travel to the United States, as this role may involve regular trips for events, meetups, and community engagements.

• Represent the team at in-person meetups, events, and conferences across the U.S.—building relationships with founders and AI practitioners.
• Support and manage cross-functional projects across business operations, marketing, recruiting, and community engagement.
• Drive key operational efforts, including project tracking, process improvements, and internal communications.
• Work on talent mapping across AI companies based in the US.
• Contact various AI Labs located in North America to recruit AI talents.
• Read AI research papers to stay up to speed on the latest AI developments and be able to converse intelligently with AI experts.

• Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to juggle multiple responsibilities across domains on time and under budget.
• Clear, confident communicator who can hold their own in technical conversations related to AI, LLMs, and emerging tools.
• Conceptual understanding of how modern AI tools and technologies (e.g., LLMs, RAG, agents) work and how they’re applied.
• Experience engaging with or supporting technical teams (e.g., software engineers, data scientists, founders).
• Some experience with or exposure to Python or other coding languages. At a minimum, able to use AI-assisted coding tools to build prototypes.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly to the U.S. if requested.
• Comfortable picking up the phone or email people at designated organizations as requested.

• Previous experience landing event sponsors.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI tools like ChatGPT, LangChain, or Hugging Face.
• Experience working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments or supporting startup founders.

• Work alongside a world-class team and engage directly with AI founders and thought leaders.
• Travel and represent the company at high-impact events and industry gatherings.
• Be part of a mission-driven effort to support and accelerate innovation in AI.
• Collaborate closely with experts in the field, including teams and individuals backed by Andrew Ng and AI Fund.
