The Role
As Sully.ai’s Sales Leader, you’ll be a hands-on player/coach owning the full sales cycle— qualifying, demoing, negotiating, and closing. You will work directly with our founders and cross-functional partners to convert Sully’s sales pipeline, scale our customer base, and establish repeatable processes. You will lead, mentor and scale a lean sales team that continues driving exponential revenue.

What You’ll Do

  1. Scale a Data-Driven Sales Engine

    • Formalize territory segmentation, ICP definition, and lead-scoring mechanisms.

    • Develop and track KPIs (e.g., pipeline coverage, average deal size, sales cycle length).

    • Refine compensation plans and incentive structures to align with Sully’s growth targets.

  2. Shape Sully’s Sales DNA & Culture

    • Create a culture of high accountability, drive, continuous learning and improvement.

    • Develop resources (playbooks, objection-handling scripts, competitive battlecards) and make them accessible via a shared repository.

    • Research target organizations, identify the right stakeholders (clinical, IT, and procurement), and build high-quality outbound sequences.

    • Qualify early-stage opportunities to ensure proper fit with Sully’s value proposition.

  3. Run High-Impact Demos & POCs

    • Conduct live product demonstrations (virtual or in person) to clinical and operational leaders.

    • Design lightweight proof-of-concept engagements to showcase Sully’s impact on prior authorization workflows and ROI.

    • Manage all technical and commercial aspects of early engagements to remove blocker risks for prospects.

  4. Negotiate & Close Initial Deals

    • Own deal structure, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations end-to-end.

    • Partner closely with our legal and finance leads (founders) to build customer-friendly agreements.

    • Navigate the subtle compliance and procurement requirements unique to healthcare systems and payers.

  5. Build Foundational Sales Processes

    • Establish a repeatable cadence for outreach (cold email, cold call, events), qualification, and pipeline tracking.

    • Implement Sully’s CRM (HubSpot) from scratch—set up custom fields, task reminders, and reporting dashboards.

    • Define sales stages and standardize activity metrics (calls, demos, win rates) to measure performance.

  6. Drive Cross-Functional Alignment at Scale

    • Liaise between Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure 360° customer feedback loops.

    • Represent the growing Sales organization in executive strategy sessions and board updates.

    • Champion continuous improvement: introduce new sales tools (Gong, Outreach, etc.) and best practices.

Who You Are

You thrive in an early‐stage, fast‐paced environment and you love wearing multiple hats to jumpstart revenue. You want to build something from scratch, prove a repeatable sales motion, and then hire and mentor a team as we scale.

🚀 Must‐Have Experience

  • Startup & SaaS Track Record: You’ve been a player/coach and leader at a sub‐20 person, VC‐backed startup (preferably in AI or related B2B/enterprise SaaS).

  • Sales Expertise: You’ve owned end-to-end deals ($20K–$100K+ ACV) and consistently exceeded quota.

  • CRM & Analytics: You’ve configured, customized, and leveraged a CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce) to manage leads, forecast deals, and extract actionable insights.

Tools & Technologies You’ll Work With

  • CRM Platforms: HubSpot (initial), with potential expansion to Salesforce

  • Sales Engagement & Analytics: Outreach (or mix of SalesLoft/Gong), Mixpanel for funnel analytics, ChartMogul for revenue metrics

  • Collaboration & Documentation: Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Notion, and GitHub (for internal playbooks)
