Software Engineer - ColdFusion, React

ECP is growing quickly and is looking for experienced engineers that want to join an amazing team, and write great code, to help make life better in senior living communities. ECP is used in over 7,000 communities in the United States. We're looking to further expand by increasing the number of customers that use our software, and by developing and releasing new products.
As a talented and experienced developer, you play a crucial role in the development of our CRM product and our newest product, Move-Ins. You join a talented and committed team and have constant opportunities to learn about our business and build solutions that fuel our growth.
- Develop robust and scalable features using React (TypeScript) on the frontend and ColdFusion/Lucee on the backend.
- Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server database structures. Write complex queries and ensure efficient data access patterns.
- Follow source control best practices and contribute to peer reviews using Git in both Bitbucket and Azure
- Maintain and refactor a legacy JavaScript codebase while incrementally migrating to modern React components and architecture.
- Collaborate closely with fellow developers, QA testers, product managers, and UX designers to deliver high-quality features.
- Work with other product teams to ensure seamless integration across internal platforms and services.
- Develop a deep understanding of the product and end-users to ensure the functionality you build has real-world impact for our customers and their communities.
- Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and modern front-end development practices
- Proficiency in ColdFusion/Lucee or willingness to ramp up quickly
- Solid understanding of SQL Server and relational database design
- JavaScript fundamentals, HTML, and CSS
- Experience in JavaScript frameworks, with React using Typescript preferred
- Experience in modern CSS practices, with exposure to MUI preferred
- Passion and excitement for writing great code that genuinely helps senior living employees, residents, and their families
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- Fluent in English, and grammatical skills
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
