THE ROLE
Street Diligence is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Fractional VP of Finance to lead our financial planning, reporting, and accounting operations. This role partners closely with the CEO and executive team to deliver financial clarity and enable data-driven decision-making during a high-growth phase. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in accrual accounting, GAAP compliance, and FP&A strategy, ideally with a background in startups and experience supporting successful exits.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead financial planning and analysis, including building budgets, forecasts, and financial models
Manage and improve accrual-based accounting systems and processes
Ensure timely, accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes
Maintain compliance with GAAP and other financial regulatory standards
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, employee reimbursements, and cash flow management
Manage reporting functions including financial statements, KPI dashboards, and board materials
Support strategic finance initiatives such as pricing strategy, capital planning, and scenario modeling
Prepare the company for potential fundraising or M&A activity
Collaborate with third-party accountants and tax advisors
Oversee state sales tax filings and regulatory compliance
QUALIFICATIONS
8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience
Strong foundation in GAAP and accrual-based accounting
Proven ability to build and manage budgets, forecasts, and dynamic financial models
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, scenario analysis)
Experience with QuickBooks and other financial tools
Track record of success in startup or high-growth environments
CPA or MBA is a plus
