Who we are looking for

SSGA is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join the SSGA Europe Compliance Advisory team. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Compliance organization and will be located in SSGA’s Krakow office. This role provides an opportunity to work on execution of the firm’s compliance program as well as creation of executive management reporting, managing regulatory reporting, and supporting SSGA’s strategic initiatives

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements. A minimum of three days working from the Krakow office is required for this role.

SSGA Europe is a Central Bank of Ireland regulated Company providing UCITS Management Company, AIFM and Individual Portfolio Management services through its EU offices in Ireland, Poland, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy and Netherlands.

The role is classified as a CF2 under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity regime (CF2), hence candidates must comply with the relevant requirements regarding fitness and probity.

What you will be responsible for

As Compliance Analyst you will:

  • Implement the firm’s risk based compliance monitoring program, through effective execution of compliance monitoring testing and advisory reviews

  • Assess compliance breaches, working with the business to remediate compliance issues

  • Prepare timely and accurate regulatory reporting

  • Support the firm’s activities through provision of high quality responses to business and client queries

  • Oversee activities of Group entities providing compliance services to the firm

  • Draft executive management reporting, activity metrics and program status updates

  • Manage administration and operations activities for the Compliance Advisory Team

  • Practical experience in working with UCITS, AIFMD, MiFID and ESG rules in the European Union, technical knowledge of investment compliance and outsourcing rules a distinct advantage

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Education to degree level, preferably in law, finance, business or related discipline

  • Additional compliance, investment fund, asset management or related certifications

  • Minimum of 1 year relevant compliance experience within asset management or investment funds

  • Fluent English is a must, any other languages are an advantage
