What you will be doing:
The Financial Aid Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for ensuring compliant policies, procedures, and processes of the Financial Services Team within the Student Finance Department. The Financial Aid Quality Assurance Analyst will ensure all necessary regulations are followed for all funding sources to maintain a department that is compliant in all aspects.
- Creates and maintains all policy and procedure documentation
- Provides training to relevant staff
- Updates relevant staff with new or revised regulations as they become available and guides implementation of necessary changes
- Performs quality assurance checks to ensure processing accuracy for all fund sources
- Primary point of contact for all compliance audits when applicable
- Attend various conferences to increase process knowledge and keep up to date on rules and regulations
- Creates any necessary documentation needed for funding approval
- Active member of Student Policy Committee and Compliance Committee
- Ensures all financial aid timelines are met on a consistent basis. Maintains working knowledge of all necessary government and internal systems
- Works closely with employees, peers, and the Vice President of Student Finance to identify process gaps and inefficiencies and ensure corrections are implemented
- Works closely with fellow departments to ensure an exceptional student experience
- Ensure compliance with all consumer disclosure requirements to the public, applicants, students, and employees
- Provides updates to SIS to include annual changes, cost of attendance budgets, academic years, term dates,
- disbursement schedules, and other funding-based updates
- Completes all importing and exporting processes into the SIS
- Performs R2T4 calculations according to internal timelines
- Other tasks as assigned

Requirements
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in related area
- Five years or more financial aid experience with at least two years of quality assurance and/or compliance review; or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved
- Knowledgeable of all funding options including VA, TA, Title IV, scholarships, employer reimbursement, and cash
- Thoroughly understands all federal, state, and accrediting body regulations and ensures all processes for all departments remain in compliance with those regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong attention to detail
- Some travel required (up to 15%)
