Job Description
Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Planning:
- Lead the development and execution of strategic business plans that align with the organization’s long-term goals and objectives.
- Facilitate OKR (Objectives and Key Results) problem exploration and solutioning to identify key business challenges and opportunities.
Technology Alignment:
- Ensure that technology outcomes are closely aligned with business capabilities, investment priorities, and maturity targets.
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand their needs and translate them into technological strategies.
Industry and Vendor Insights:
- Provide deep industry and vendor insights to support and influence product group strategies.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
Enterprise-Wide Integration:
- Integrate enterprise-wide technological insights into strategies that support business group-level priorities.
- Maintain an enterprise-wide view to ensure cohesive and comprehensive technological and business strategies.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing across different business units and technology teams.
Future State Roadmaps and Business Capabilities:
- Build future state roadmaps to guide the organization towards achieving its strategic goals.
- Develop and enhance business capabilities to support growth and operational excellence.
Technology Modernization:
- Drive initiatives to modernize the technology ecosystem, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and aligned with current and future business needs.
- Identify and propose innovative solutions to address complex business problems and improve operational efficiency.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance business capabilities.
Leadership and Mentorship:
- Provide thought leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Mentor and develop junior architects and team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications The Employee Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field with at least 14 or more years of relevant experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Extensive experience with enterprise architecture, capability planning, and alignment of IT to corporate and BU strategy
- Strong experience with drafting reference architecture
- Experience designing, developing, and integrating applications
- Vendor management experience
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect, Solutions Architect, or similar role within a large enterprise.
- Strong understanding of strategic business planning, OKR frameworks, and technology alignment.
- In-depth knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and vendor landscapes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of delivering innovative solutions.
- Experience in leading and mentoring cross-functional teams.
Qualifications we Prefer:
- Experience in Agile development methodology and processes
- Experience in architecting enterprise systems such as PLM, MES, CRM, and ERP
- Conceptualizing and developing abstract representations
