The Assistant Director of Admission, Campus Events is responsible for the strategic planning of the on-campus visit experience. The individual will coordinate all campus visit programs including daily visits (counselor presentations and informational meetings, ambassador-guided tours, overnight visits, classroom visitations, and meetings with faculty and coaches) and all on-campus special events hosted by the Office of Admission. 

The Assistant Director of Admission, Campus Events will lead the team who schedules the visits, serve as an in-house admission counselor, and manage and coordinate the Student Ambassadors Program, and they will collaborate with the Graduate Admission team and the Summer Programs team on recruitment-related and camp-related events and programming as well and help coordinate the planning and implementation of those events. 

The Assistant Director of Admission, Campus Events will manage the virtual visit opportunities available through our office and work in collaboration with select admission counselors who are also responsible for virtual visits, and will work closely with the marketing department in the Office of Admission on all event and visit-related communications and marketing. 

The Assistant Director of Admission, Campus Events will meet with prospective students, perform evaluations, participate in admission committee decisions when available, and prepare invitations, correspondence, and necessary follow-up for visiting families and guidance counselors.

Minimum Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree with preference given to an individual with experience in the fields of admission, student life, event planning, or related areas. 
  • The position requires strong problem solving, organizational, and communication skills and an ability and willingness to take initiative. 
  • The successful candidate will also be creative and possess the ability to “think on his/her feet.” 
  • In addition, they must demonstrate the proven ability to relate and communicate well with the public and other constituents of the College community. 
  • Must possess strong relationship building skills as they partner with stakeholders across campus.

Preferred Qualifications    

  • Master’s Degree 
  • Ability to speak Spanish
  • Proven ability to work effectively with high school and college-aged students. 
  • Be a graduate of a liberal arts institution and exhibit an appreciation for the values associated with a Catholic college. 
  • Experience working in web-based software CRM platforms, such as Slate 

Schedule         

40 Hours/ 12 Months/ Monday – Friday
