About the role
We’re looking for a Developer Evangelist to connect directly with our growing community of developers, builders, and mid-market users. This role combines outbound GTM execution, inbound lead qualification, event presence, and grassroots developer engagement.
You’ll be the first face many builders see when interacting with Runware—whether at local meetups, through Discord follow-ups, or via a well-timed outreach message. If you enjoy working with technical users, love startup energy, and want to help shape how AI tools reach real users, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
- Qualify inbound interest from dev tools, SaaS builders, and creative apps evaluating Runware.
- Surface, engage, and close mid-market opportunities through a mix of outbound, inbound follow-up, and community-driven touch-points.
- Plan and attend developer-facing events and meet-ups across the Bay Area—owning follow-ups and building relationships with technical founders and teams.
- Run targeted outbound campaigns to identify, engage, and convert high-potential developer leads into active users or paying customers.
- Engage with community leads from Reddit, Discord, or GitHub—following up on signals and helping move them through the funnel.
- Work with sales and PMM to refine messaging, case studies, and examples that resonate with developer-led teams.
- Own a portion of the GTM funnel: tracking engagement, coordinating touchpoints, and moving deals or activations to close.
- Research and map the market, identifying emerging projects, dev platforms, and AI-native tools that align with Runware’s core value props.
- Share product feedback and developer insight with the product and API teams to help improve onboarding and usability.
- 3–6 years of experience in a hybrid developer-focused role—could be DevRel, community, GTM, or mid-market sales.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially with technical or startup-savvy audiences.
- Familiar with AI, image generation, or developer APIs (or at least excited to learn fast).
- Proven ability to run outreach, qualify technical users, and follow through with leads across multiple touchpoints.
- Comfortable in person—whether speaking at a meet-up, attending an event, or leading a small group discussion.
- Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate (this is not a remote-only role).
- Bonus: background in running campaigns, working with CRM tools, or engaging in open-source/dev communities.
We’re a remote-first collective, meeting in person twice a year to plan, brainstorm, celebrate wins, and enjoy some face-to-face time. We have core hours for cooperative working and calls, but outside of that your calendar is yours. Work the hours that let you perform at your peak while also building a healthy life.
Our release cycles are fast and intense, but they’re followed by real downtime. After big pushes we expect the team to unplug, recharge, and come back ready & stronger than ever for the next leap.
- Generous paid time off – vacation, sick days, public holidays
- Meaningful stock options – share in the upside you create
- Remote-first setup – work from home anywhere we can employ you
- Flexible hours – own your schedule outside core collaboration blocks
- Family leave – paid maternity, paternity, and caregiver time
- Company retreats – twice-yearly gatherings in inspiring locations
