ABOUT THE JOB

As a Senior Lead for UX, you’ll define the experience vision across RADAR’s product suite—from enterprise dashboards to in-store mobile apps. You’ll manage and mentor a growing UX team, establish user-centered design standards, and lead research initiatives that drive clarity and alignment. You’ll work directly with Engineering and Customer Experience to create practical, intuitive, and accessible experiences that serve a range of retail stakeholders. This role is both strategic and hands-on, blending design leadership with a deep understanding of our users and the retail landscape.

In your first 30 days, you will:

  • Review and digest information about RADAR's technology and user interfaces
  • Meet with product, engineering, and customer teams to understand user needs
  • Visit retail customers to observe system usage in real environments
  • Begin assessing current user experiences and identifying opportunities
  • Build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and team members
  • Review user research and feedback from existing implementations
  • Begin developing a UX strategy and vision for RADAR's platform

In your first 60 days, you will:

  • Begin defining UX principles and guidelines for RADAR's products
  • Start leading design reviews and providing direction to team members
  • Begin planning user research initiatives to address key questions
  • Start collaborating with product management on roadmap priorities
  • Begin developing design systems and standards for consistency
  • Start mentoring and developing UX team members
  • Begin advocating for user needs in product planning discussions
  • Start establishing UX success metrics and measurement approaches

In your first 90 days, you will:

  • Fully own the UX strategy and vision for RADAR's platform
  • Lead the UX team in creating user-centered design solutions
  • Implement design processes that scale with the organization
  • Drive user research initiatives that inform product decisions
  • Establish strong partnerships with Product, Engineering, and Customer teams
  • Begin measuring and optimizing user experience metrics
  • Lead design thinking workshops with cross-functional teams
  • Contribute to product strategy with a user-centered perspective

ABOUT YOU

Required:

  • You have 8+ years of experience in UX design with at least 3 years in leadership roles
  • You have proven track record designing complex enterprise or retail technology solutions
  • You are experienced in building and mentoring UX teams
  • You have a strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design process and outcomes
  • You are experience with user research methodologies and usability testing
  • You have excellent communication skills and cross-functional leadership ability
  • You have a deep understanding of UX best practices and emerging trends
  • You are experience creating design systems and pattern libraries
  • You have the ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize effectively
  • You are experience advocating for user needs in technology organizations

Preferred:

  • You have experience with retail technology or operations
  • You have a background in mobile and web application design
  • You have knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design
  • You have experience with service design or systems thinking
  • You have a Master's degree in Design, HCI, or related field

At RADAR, your pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role is an exempt position with a salary range of $175,000 - $250,000. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors,  including job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training. You will also be eligible to receive other benefits including: equity, comprehensive medical and dental coverage, life and disability benefits, 401k plan,  flexible time off, and paid parental leave. The pay range listed for this position is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.
