As the Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to generate leads and strategically identify new business opportunities in clinical imaging for lung and heart diseases. In addition to lead generation, you will be tasked with developing proposal strategies, supporting organized bid pursuits, and fostering strong client relationships to achieve preferred supplier status. You will also manage several existing accounts. Collaborating closely with the Head of Business Development, your efforts will be focused on meeting the sales targets established by the Leadership Team.
This is a hybrid role, with time required in our Cambridge office.
1. Goal Attainment − Collaborate to meet and exceed sales goals set by the Leadership Team on an annual basis.
2. Pipeline Management
- Actively engage in the creation and close management of a sales pipeline ensuring the quality and timeliness of data.
- Proactively manage the pipeline ensuring the development of sufficient pipeline to deliver on sales goals.
- Effectively use business intelligence tools such as Global Data.
3. New Account Identification
- Strategize on best way to approach existing as well as new client accounts.
4. Customer engagement
- Support the proposal strategy including narrative and executive summaries.
- Support well organized and structured bid pursuit and governance meetings, as necessary. This includes gathering all internal and external resources necessary for a successful engagement.
- Building long term client relationships to gain preferred supplier status is the goal.
5. Account Management
- Create strategic account plans to identify opportunities within existing accounts. These plans should include the strategic corporate initiatives with the goal of continued current engagement while simultaneously identifying new opportunities

- Must have the ability to work methodically in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements
- A self-starter and able to work under own initiative
- High level of competence with Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint) is essential
- Expertise in CRM and collaboration tools
- Ability to operate collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong understanding of developing long term high value client relationships
Experience:
- Experience in selling imaging services to biopharma and/or partners
- Experience identifying sales pipeline risks and developing mitigation plans
- Proven track record in delivering sales results against a plan
- Experience working within an ISO13485, Pharmaceutical or Hospital industries.
Qualifications & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sciences, or related field.
- English: Fluent
