Position: Power BI Architect

Pay: $75-$78/Hr - Contract

Term: July 2025 - June 2026 with renewal

Location: On Site - Tallahassee, FL

Education: A bachelor’s from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Engineering, Human Computer Interaction, Data Visualization, Communication or a related field

Certifications: Microsoft Power Apps and Azure specific training or certifications

Experience:

•        Three (3) or more years of experience building Power BI dashboards to satisfy business requirements;

•        Four (4) years of experience Data Visualization including requirements gathering, design, implementation, and developing and maintaining dashboards;

•        Expert knowledge of building apps, page layouts, and content types using the O365 API;

•        Experience in developing solutions within Power Platform (Power Apps Portals, Canvas and Model Driven Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and Common Data Service;

•        Experience in using multiple OOTB Connectors with PowerApps and Power Automate, and ability to create custom connectors for PowerApps and Microsoft Automate; and

•        Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query, DAX and data gateway management.

•        Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts;

•        Experience using Data Modeling tools.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain foundational knowledge of the following areas: Metadata management, Master Data Management, Data Governance and Data Analytics.
• Interact with business customers regularly to consolidate and analyze requirements and present them the dashboard design results;
• Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, procedures, and techniques for collecting, processing, storing, and distributing Power BI dashboards;
• Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards;
• Monitor the utilization of Power BI, including license monitoring and manage Power BI users and workspaces;
• Manage and maintain the Power BI environment troubleshoot technical issues related to Power BI and configure data refresh schedules;
• Administer and maintain full control over organization-wide Power BI settings and administrative features;
• Manage and maintain the Power BI environment, including configuration, security, data policies, and connection references;
• Connect and manage Power BI to various data sources, including on-premise and cloud-based data sources;
• Implement and maintain semantic models to ensure data integrity and performance optimization;
• Perform data cleansing and transformation tasks (such as, Extract, Transform, Load [ETL]) to prepare data for analysis;
• Design, develop, deploy, and configure Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements;
• Provide technical guidance and support to end-users, ensuring effective adoption and utilization of Power BI solutions;
• Monitor and optimize Power BI performance, including capacity planning and server performance;
• Manage user access and permissions to Power BI applications and resources, ensuring compliance with security policies;
• Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of Power BI solutions;
• Maintain governance policies, best practices, and security standards for the Power BI environment;
• Develop and maintain the Power BI roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and strategic goals;
• Responsible for providing full lifecycle Power BI administration (patches, updates, AD security, account management, capacity management, documenting processes) including the ability to work with data owners and report developers to support their needs in the best way possible;
• Deliver services and solutions using the Power Platform suite with Azure Integrations
