Data Engineer Lead

Job Title: AWS Data Engineer Lead

Location: South San Francisco, CA/Florham Park, NJ/Dallas, TX

Job Description:

The role involves leading the design and management of data solutions in a cloud environment with a focus on AWS services.

Responsibilities:

·      Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable data pipelines and architectures utilizing AWS Glue, Elastic MapReduce (EMR), Lambda, Redshift, Athena, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, and S3.

·      Use Spark on AWS for data transformation and processing across large datasets.

·      Develop and maintain efficient data workflows with SQS for task queueing and orchestration.

·      Integrate, transform, and manage data using Mulesoft and Talend for seamless data integration.

·    Ensure high-performance data storage, retrieval, and analytics across Redshift, DynamoDB, and Athena.

·      Lead and structure consulting engagements for financial services clients, demonstrating strong skills in project planning, execution, and outcome delivery across technology and data product initiatives.

·      Build and manage trusted client relationships by proactively understanding client priorities, communicating effectively, and driving strategic discussions to solve complex business challenges.

·      An understanding of the data lifecycle, including data sourcing, ETL processes, metadata management, and/or data quality principles to support building robust data products.

·      Knowledge of data governance and control frameworks.

·      Knowledge and/or subject matter expertise in consumer collections and regulatory reporting for risk management initiatives.

·      4-6 years of experience in financial services (preferably retail and/or retail lending) consulting.

·      Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite.

·      Strong Written and verbal communication skills, with proven problem-solving ability.
