We are seeking an experienced and visionary Section Chief of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine to lead and elevate our growing Pulmonary program. This individual will provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for the division, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while fostering an environment of academic and professional excellence.
The Chief will oversee all aspects of the department, including clinical operations, physician staffing, advanced practice providers, and nursing personnel. This is an opportunity to revise and advance the pulmonary program to better serve the children and families in our community, while also playing an essential role in mentoring future generations of pediatric providers.
Position Highlights:
- Lead daily clinical operations, ensuring optimal delivery of patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Establish a clear vision and strategic direction for the Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine division.
- Provide clinical and administrative leadership in areas such as scheduling, physician expectations, and resource planning.
- Develop and implement department policies and procedures aligned with institutional goals.
- Champion a practice-oriented educational environment, supporting the teaching of residents, students, and fellows.
- Mentor and train junior faculty, nurse practitioners, and other clinical staff.
- Drive Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives in collaboration with hospital leadership.
- Play an active role in the recruitment and onboarding of new faculty and advanced practice providers.
- Promote collaboration across departments and disciplines to enhance patient care delivery.
- Maintain a part-time clinical practice within the department.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of Pediatric Residency and Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship.
- Board-certified in Pediatric Pulmonology.
- Clear/ Active license
- Minimum of 5 years clinical experience, with prior leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Proven expertise in program development, change management, and team leadership.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
