Job Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team.  The Supervisor will oversee and guide the Account Payable team, including assisting staff with problem resolution, training, and process improvement.  The Supervisor will support the Accounts Payable Manager in monitoring daily activity. 

  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing, including assisting with subledger balancing and monitoring accrual needs. 

  • Monitor and assist with P-Card/T&E program administration. 

  • Create an environment of continuous process improvement and implement streamlining opportunities. 

  • Participate in system and other testing to ensure compliance with internal and external controls. 

  • Assist with annual 1099 distribution, reporting and filings. 

  • Other duties as assigned by the Accounts Payable Manager. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years Accounts Payable experience, preferably at a publicly traded company 

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisor experience 

  • Previous experience with SAP ERP system 

  • Demonstrated high proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products, emphasis on Excel 

  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing, including assisting with subledger balancing and monitoring accrual needs. 

  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency. 

  • Display a strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet department and company objectives. 

  • Effective problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written).
