About the Role
We’re looking for a Student Customer Marketing Manager to lead the strategy and execution of marketing initiatives that engage our youngest users — elementary school students — directly within the product and across digital touchpoints. This person will own our student-facing marketing calendar, collaborate with game producers on go-to-market (GTM) launches, and drive mobile app growth through live ops, in-game promotions, app store optimization, and community marketing.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in game marketing, mobile growth strategies, and engaging young audiences, with a special talent for making complex content fun, visual, and digestible — especially for kids who may not be strong readers yet.
Your Impact
Student Engagement Strategy:
Own the student-facing marketing calendar (themes, content drops, updates)
Coordinate GTM plans for new features, events, and content with game/product teams
Plan and execute seasonal promotions and in-game campaigns
Manage creative timelines and ensure timely delivery of student-facing assets
Game GTM Coordination: Partner with game producers and product managers to plan, align, and execute go-to-market strategies for new features, themes, and game updates.
Collaborate with game teams on event cadence and content strategy
Write and review in-game marketing copy (e.g., announcements, mailers, pop-ups)
Multivariate testing of copy on triggered messages to drive students back into the game and drive DAUs.
Live Ops Marketing: Drive excitement and engagement with recurring in-game campaigns, limited-time events, and themed content drops that keep players coming back.
Drive engagement through live ops campaigns (seasonal events, limited-time drops) primarily through own and earned channels and building relationships with influencer partners.
App Store Marketing & Optimization (ASO): Lead creative and strategic updates to the App Store and Google Play Store listings to drive app downloads, including screenshots, copy, keywords, and A/B testing.
Own App Store Optimization (ASO) strategy for iOS and Android
Update screenshots, keywords, and descriptions regularly
Run A/B tests to improve conversion rates
Partner with performance/growth teams on app download initiatives
Microsite Management: Oversee the student-focused microsite experience, ensuring it’s engaging, up-to-date, and aligned with in-game events and seasonal campaigns with the goal of building awareness and introducing new students to Prodigy.
Community Marketing: Collaborate with our community and social teams to amplify game news, promote user-generated content, and celebrate community milestones across platforms like YouTube and fandom sites.
Collaborate with existing and emerging Prodigy-focused influencers to deepen their relationship with and promotion of Prodigy to engage kids across platforms
Coordinate YouTube, Fandom, and in-game community campaigns
Creative Collaboration: Work closely with designers, writers, and video editors to ensure all student-facing content is visually engaging, on-brand, and easy for young players to understand.
Work with designers, animators, and copywriters to create engaging content for non-readers
Align messaging and assets across marketing, product, and game teams
Contribute to creative brainstorms and campaign naming/theme ideation
About You
Demonstrated experience in consumer or game marketing, ideally with a focus on mobile or F2P games.
Experience marketing to younger audiences (kids, families, or educators) and understand how to craft messages for non-readers or early readers.
Knowledge of mobile growth levers including App Store Optimization, push notifications, in-game events, and re-engagement tactics.
Demonstrated success managing go-to-market campaigns
Influencing and collaborating cross-functionally with product/game teams.
Familiarity with live ops strategy and how to build excitement through content cycles and seasonal themes.
Excellent project management and communication skills, with a bias toward collaboration and experimentation.
Comfort working with data to evaluate campaign performance and iterate on strategy.
Bonus Points For:
Experience working on children's games or educational technology products.
A deep appreciation for great kid-friendly creative — you know what makes students stop, smile, and click.
Familiarity with App Store Connect, and Google Play Console.
