PNC’s Paid Media team is responsible for managing channel strategy and ensuring flawless execution of marketing campaigns across lines of business (Brand, Deposits, Lending, Small Business, Corporate Banking, Wealth and Investments, etc.) based on the latest consumer trends, technology, emerging platforms, and performance metrics.

The Marketing Lead will be involved in the development and evolution of PNC’s overall media channel strategic approach, while managing end-to-end marketing campaigns across Display and Traditional channels. They will see their marketing efforts through from ideation to execution to analysis, and collaborate with product stakeholders, ad agencies, external vendors, etc. to ensure a positive customer experience.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in programmatic display planning and execution and on middle to lower funnel acquisition efforts; however, they will be expected to have an overall understanding of all Digital and Traditional media channel options. Knowledge of the complexities of the financial sector is a plus, but more important is expertise in major media platforms, performance marketing, analytics, and the confidence to project manage multiple efforts working with external and internal partners.

This position is primarily based in a PNC location: Pittsburgh, PA; Philadelphia, PA; Cleveland, OH; OR Birmingham, AL. Responsibilities require time in the office on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.


Role Description

• Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns for assigned lines of business
• Help facilitate the integration of media data into measurement and reporting, craft action plans focused on getting results, monitor the progress of campaigns and establish accurate benchmarking and critical metrics
• Support the development of best-in-class creative assets, which align with both the Brand and business objectives
• Help to manage the PNC relationship across various vendors and partners, primarily ad agencies and key platforms
• Help to manage the marketing campaign budget, including invoice processing, budget forecasting, and budget allocation across channels.
• Serve as a SME for consumer media behaviors, latest marketing trends/platforms/technology
• Establish relationships with partners at all levels (whether internal or external) to be a voice of the company in presenting and developing a comprehensive media strategy and POVs

Preferred Qualifications/Requirements:

• Experience with DSP platforms (The Trade Desk, DV360), Google Campaign Manager, Tableau, LiveRamp, Adobe Analytics.
• Experience working with business and marketing objectives and developing media strategies, specifically digital-led efforts, from end-to-end and managing media budgets
• Strong knowledge and point of view on the constant evolving advertising space, particularly programmatic tactics and a cookie-less world
• Ability to partner/collaborate and integrate across digital, social media, sales, and marketing teams, with a working understanding of SEO, SEM, web analytics, landing pages, and creative best practices
• Experience developing or working with performance metrics, must work with the analytics teams (internal and agencies) to evaluate across all channels and ensure that campaign goals are being met
• Ability to craft and deliver strong presentations

Job Description

  • Supports the development and leads the execution of integrated, multi-channel strategic marketing plans for one or more products/initiatives/channels. Formulates plans that acquire, grow, and retain customers in support of the product life cycle and line of business goals and objectives.
  • Supports the development and prioritization of business and marketing objectives, development of value propositions and target segments leveraging competitive intelligence and insights to drive growth strategies. Contributes to thought leadership and builds consensus among partners.  Adapts to and optimizes for a changing business environment.
  • Translates desired business outcomes into marketing strategy and executes marketing programs/initiatives that may include advertising, sales content and internal communications. Coordinates and influences complex, multi-functional program teams. Ensures data collected is synthesized and leveraged effectively to provide appropriate business intelligence.
  • Influences the budget while ensuring all operating activities are optimized and delivered within the established budget framework.
  • Implements and oversees activities including coordination with legal, compliance, finance, risk and other key partners. Leads partnership with agencies, third parties and internal business partners to coordinate development and execution of programs/initiatives.
  • Acts as a point of contact with product and digital teams to coordinate strategy and development. Makes decisions to ensure the business programs/initiatives and customer expectations are being met.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $65,000.00 – $103,500.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
